Winter CSA

WINTER CSA 2022-2023

11/3/22 to 2/9/23 (15 weeks)

Sign up to enjoy locally grown and nutritious food all winter long! Since our lettuces and greens are grown right here on the farm in our mineral rich soil, they have a wonderful taste and are extremely fresh unlike what you find in the grocery stores in the winter when produce is shipped in from so far away.

Our fresh Greens and Herbs are grown in our greenhouses or on our farm using only natural and ecological growing methods. Our poultry is pasture raised & nourished and supplemented with NON-GMO feed.

This is a great way to secure local nutritious food and support your local farm throughout the winter months. Spots are limited!

What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer (us!).

Advantages for you:
~ Eat ultra-fresh food, with all the flavor and vitamin benefits.
~ Get exposed to new vegetables, new ways of cooking and you will receive a weekly newsletter with recipe ideas for how to use your share that week.
~ You get to come to the farm every week to pick up your share. You are welcome to walk around or shop for other items in the Market on the Farm while you are picking up your share.
~ Kids typically favor food from “their” farm – even veggies they’ve never been known to eat before.
~ Develop a relationship with the farmer (us) who grows your food and learn more about how your food is grown.
~ Support a local farm to help ensure that the farmers will be in business to provide you with food should there be a supply chain issue in the food system.

Advantages for the farmers:
~ Receive payment early in the season, which helps with the farm’s cash flow.
~ Have an opportunity to get to know the people who eat the food they grow!
~ Support the local community with delicious and nutritious food during the winter.

Each week may include any of these crops:
  • Lettuce (usually each week until January)
  • Mizuna
  • Red Russian Kale
  • Arugula (usually each week)
  • Mustard Greens
  • Butternut Squash
  • Spinach (usually each week)
  • Beet Greens
  • Winter Radish
  • Garlic
  • Kale
  • Swiss Chard
  • Pesto

Most of our greens will come in a clear clamshell or bundled in a bag. We have found these containers do a superior job of keeping the produce fresh and from being damaged.

Half Share: $270    Approx. 4 clear clamshells of greens each week for 15 weeks

Additions to Your CSA Share (you must purchase a full or half share to add an addition to your CSA share)
