Pasture Poultry 101 – Laying Hens & Broiler Chickens

Sunday June 19, 2022 9am-4pm

Learn all about our pasture raised broiler chickens (meat) and laying hen (eggs) operation at Forrest Green Farm. Spend the day with Rob has he show you his laying hen and broiler chicken set ups. Move the chickens in the pasture, collect eggs, process chickens and ask any questions you might have about raising pasture poultry. You will take home a dozen eggs and a chicken you helped process!

This is not a farm tour. This is an intensive class with the goal to teach you all about how to successfully raise pasture broiler and laying hens. We will also briefly cover pasture raised turkeys.
