Basil Pesto

Can be frozen and used all winter!

  • 3 cups fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic (more if you like garlic)
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup pine nuts or pumpkin seeds
  • cup olive oil
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  •  pinch of salt


  • Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and blend to desired consistency, adding more olive oil if needed.
  • Can be served on pastas, as a spread on sandwiches or crackers, or a sauce on vegetables.
